This is a good view of the action. Watch closely as Brooks, face down, turns his head to the right and up, locating Mitchell. Then he does his arm-swinging turnover, right on target.

Because the Grizzlies are in the west, and we don't have NBA TV or NBA League Pass, we don't see them very often. So I'm not that familiar with the kind of player Brooks supposedly is.
But it looked intentional to me. From Mitchell's remarks later it seems that he is familiar with Brooks from during his time in Utah. And from what Kendrick Perkins said earlier today, there is and has been an issue with Brooks and the way he plays.
Donovan Mitchell is too smart to react the way he did unless there was a very good reason. He has been dealing with a groin injury for a couple weeks now, and it looks like he is still bothered by it. I expect him to miss a few more games now, either because of the injury or through suspension. It's great that the Cavs players and coach are standing firmly behind him.
My wife and I were at the Cavs vs Heat game on Tuesday, way up in the nosebleed seats, but even from that distance it was obvious that Mitchell isn't 100%. But of course the Cavs are going to keep issues like that close to their chest.
