I once had to take a deep dive into what to do with sexual harassment/abuse cases and I discovered that a large percentage of victims don't ever go to the police or any authority. They'll talk to their friends or seek out others who have experienced what they have, but they don't often go to the police on their own accord. I later had another experience where a young woman subordinate was physically assaulted, on camera even, by another co-worker and while she told me that night and we went to upper management soon after, she never did go to the police. For whatever reason there's often just a great reluctance to take it to police.

As someone who has interacted multiple times in a professionnal setting with victims of abuse (financial, sexual and physical, sometimes all three at the same time), I'm not going to doubt the motive of anyone choosing to go through the instagram court rather than the real court.

Just as I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and not shame a potential victim from not going to the police, I'll also reserve judgement on wether these allegations are true or not, but let's just say that he doesn't strike me as the most upstanding citizen to have ever graced the diamond and I'm happy the MLB are investigating.
