#4 Milwaukee Brewers vs. #1 Hartford Huskies
#3 Boston Red Sox vs. #2 New York Yankees

National League
#4 New York Mets vs. #1 Florida Marlins
#3 Montreal Expos vs. #2 Chicago Cubs

It's certainly possible to get a World Series rematch. Last year's champion Florida finished 1st in the National League, and reigning AL Champion NY Yankees finished 2nd. The Yankees will face their arch rival, the Boston Red Sox in the first round.

Here in the playoffs for the first time are the Chicago Cubs. Missing out on the playoffs for the first time are the St. Louis Cardinals.
