So I signed a 22 year old starting pitcher from Canada.

He's never been in minors, no service time, clean slate everywhere.

His new contract: MLB, 3 years, 2.8M each year

If I send him to the minors for 1 season, does that affect anything regarding his arbitration eligibility? Would his arb get pushed back another season, and there'd be another 2.8M auto-renew on his 4th year with our org?
