The St. Louis Cardinals have recalled outfielder Lars Nootbaar from AAA Memphis where he was on an injury rehab after suffering a groin injury in the third game of the season.
Nootbaar, 25, was batting .500 -- having gone 2 for 4 with a run scored -- at the time of his injury.
He played in three games at Memphis, hitting .250 with a homer and two RBIs.
