This is working as programmed. There's no template for most_valuable_player_award that would properly capture either a pitcher or a hitter winning the award. Some templates will show "MVP" type text on the card art, but that's up to the template designer, it's still the hitter_award card.

I'm not aware of one. Your workaround is likely the easiest.

None that I'm aware of. All the tags relate to regular season and career stats. I don't believe there are any postseason or tournament tags you can apply.

Thanks to anyone who can help with some or all of these. Baseball cards are a fun but ultimately meaningless part of the game that I'm enjoying tinkering with and I'd like to explore what I can do with them!

I think it just picks the team's default home jersey. If you have the player on a national team with national jerseys, you should expect that jersey to be applied at that time, but I haven't played these types of tournaments so I can't state with much certainty.
