The St. Louis Cardinals have introduced Dave Veres as their pitching coach for the 2023 season.
Veres, 56, spent 10 seasons in the majors, all of them as a relief pitcher.
Veres played with the Cardinals during from 2000-2002 and posted 75 saves during that span.
He replaces Mike Maddux who decided to not to renew his contract and has taken a role with the Texas Rangers.
