Anyone have experience with implementing a "bullpen game" concept in place of using a 5th starter? I just had one of my SP's go down the last week of Spring Training and really am not thrilled with my options in Triple A (I have a Rule 5 pick from last season that I could insert but I would like to see him get a few starts in Triple A to start the year). So was considering the whole bullpen game concept every 5th start but not sure how the AI handles not having a pitcher in the #5 Starter slot or if there were any suggestions from you all on how I can set it up.
by the way, should mention that I sim all my games, hence the ask.
