After running a few more tests, I have determined that the issue is in the original Quick Start. I went back and restarted the Promotion - Relegation QS from the very beginning and traded a player from USBL (highest league) to the lowest league. He was making $5MM in the highest league and when I traded him to the lowest league his salary was overridden to $54K (the league minimum).

Additionally, I went back to my sim and made a trade in my league (currently in 2019) and on the trade screen it says that my money will decrease by the pro rata portion of the difference in the player's salaries (see pic 1). However, when the trade is executed, the guy I get is overridden to the league minimum salary (see pic 2).

Any insight on how to fix this would be super helpful, as it is enough to make me not want to continue my save without fixing it. Thank you all in advance!
