Well, despite everything we find ourselves in the mix and, to try and maximise our chances, we make the following move with our in-season trade ticket.
This is a completely one-dimensional trade to improve us NOW. I've had my eye on Larry for a while and when I noticed the Tigers put him on the Block, the time seemed right to try get him. We have plenty of pitchers, and Larry is rising 30 with not much left to offer after the next couple years, but he should make our rotation somewhat sturdier for that period.
Bruce was a player they threw up as an option but we needed a short-term replacement until House is ready to slot up, which is where The Horse fits in. At 38, he still gets the job done. It's his walk year and he'll be (part of) one and done with us.
