For Teddy Ballgame, it’s fun to play him through those years lost when he served (with distinction) in Korea. I haven’t played all the way through to his retirement; but lifetime totals are going to be amazing. Plus he makes the Red Sox of that era a very competitive team. To be fair, I have tried to research other players who lost time to the War, and restore them (actually toggling off “miss season as in real life” should do it). Another of the “what ifs” that OOTP makes possible. (The 1950 World Series is a lot more competitive, if the Phillies don’t lose Curt Simmons to a military commitment.).
