After careful analysis of the replay video, particularly the final clip at the 58 second mark, I declare Patrick Beverley to be JUSTIFIED in what he did, despite his "history of unsportsmanlike acts."
Phoenix Suns Devin Booker had just committed a flagrant foul on LA Lakers Austin Reaves, knocking him down. Suns center Deandre Ayton, who was away from the play, walked to where Reaves was laying and stood over him.
What I was trying to discern is whether Ayton was extending a hand to help Reaves up. A Lakers player was in the way for most of the replays, but not that last one. No, Ayton was attempting to dominate and intimidate.
Beverley called him on it. Good for him. His teammates, particularly Reaves, should offer to help Beverley with the $268,965 in salary that his suspension will cost him.

This was more of a lifetime achievement award for Beverly. He is an asshole who deserves to be fouled and fouled hard with no consequences whatsoever.
