Earlier I created a dupe of my league to test some options in, and I took off "automatically control in-game engine", and just ran auto calc in each minor league. It seemed to help considerably with the extreme walk numbers I was getting, and the overall numbers looked much more realistic.
I guess will keep the "in game engine" checked for my next season and be sure to also run autocalc for the minors. Hopefully that will keep the stats in check.

What I find to work for me is to MANUALLY run the auto calc league modifiers on OPENING DAY and keep the "automatically control in game engine" checked.
