To be honest, I am tired of you telling that you are having trouble writing this novel... do one of two things... jump right in and finish the novel... just begin writing whatever comes out of your head and put that down...finish it.
You can always go back and review it and make changes and rewrites later.
Just finish the darn book and see what you come up with.
Concentrate totally on the book... forget your OOTP dream leagues that you never play... for a while just concentrate totally on the book and finish it.
Also, CD... no one seems to be interested in your novel... no one ever comments on it or shows any interest... you are the only person with any interest in it... just write for yourself... get busy and finish the novel and see what you come up with.
Take the time that you spend writing about your problems writing the novel and use that time to WRITE THE NOVEL.

Eugene has a good point. Writing takes everything, all your concentration, and the thought process of working things out, and getting the words on the paper or document online. Accept his opinion, and the advice he gives and go finish that novel, he isn't trying to be mean, just stating facts. Finish the story, and then concentrate on the steps to getting it published.
Good luck.
