The problem is that this goalie exhausted his junior eligibility and is on his entry-level deal. There aren't enough ECHL affiliates to cover each NHL team and I'm one of the teams that don't have an ECHL affiliate.
I could go try commissioner mode to place him on a random ECHL team, but I was looking for an easier way around that.
