Hey Slammer,
Ok we reviewed the info about your M1 and regretfully it does look like OOTP isn't registering your integrated graphics card as functioning or being able to support OpenGL 3.1+.
Now an M1 we know does have support for OpenGL 4.0+ so we definitely need to double check your OS updates and if you have access your integrated graphics card driver.
OOTP when it launches will automatically enable or disable your 3D Features depending on support for OpenGL 3.1. If it doesn't find that support it will turn that off. You can go in to the settings and try to force that back on by enabling it but the program will most likely give you the black screens you've been noticing because there isn't a supporting graphics card driver to process the graphics correctly. Also the next time you restart OOTP it will automatically disable that again.
I'll do some research about M1 Drivers for the integrated GPU if you can check your OS updates for us.
