Chapter 16 is probably going to require at least some work to make it better, in time, of course, but for now, at least, I think I can accept it during the first-draft process for Lighting Up the Darkness. It won't be much longer before my birthday comes again in February, and I really do want to get the first draft of it done just as soon as possible. I've got at least eight or nine chapters left of a planned 25 chapters, at least, to write for it, and at least two of the chapters may be longer chapters to write. So I can't potentially waste any more time on chapter 16 for it right now, for sure, if I'm actually going to be able to somehow finish the entire first draft of it by my birthday.

I'll probably need to start writing chapter 17 almost immediately, and it's expected to be another long chapter, in truth. I'm thinking at least 25 pages in length, if not more, for that's where I plan to have the book's climactic scene ultimately occur for it, just before I then begin the book's denouement process in the following chapter of the story.

The denouement process should have eight chapters in it, with only one more big chapter left in the book during it. I'm really not looking forward to another big chapter when it comes to the chapter with the current story's final battle in it, to be honest. For I'll likely have to use at least ten different narrators in the chapter, and not just one, as I've been using all story long so far. That's mainly because my narrator certainly won't be able to be in ten or more places at once, for obvious reasons, during the fighting for that final battle. And I'm certainly going to have to do a great deal more research by that time, as well, no doubt.

While I might be able to use some of my memories of ground combat, at least, from my prior activity in Star Trek Online, for instance, when it comes to ship-to-ship combat, it might be a bit harder to write those parts well, during that chapter. Such combat won't necessarily translate well to planet-bound naval combat in some version of the 16th Century AD, for instance, I think, for obvious reasons. Ground combat, it might, but ship-to-ship combat, it might not. I'll almost certainly, if not certainly, need to do a good deal more research about military-related things, for sure, in any case, before I get to writing that chapter here, folks.

Talk more later, as time allows and all, I'm sure. Lord willing and all, of course, as always, you know. Thank you all for your time and attention and all here, then, for sure, folks. CD out.
