EC, you mentioned that you met Bill Buckner. He died recently as well. He was on an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and it was a joy seeing him act on that show. He was able to joke about what happened with the ball rolling through his legs, so he didn’t let that moment define him. He had a good sense of humor about it.

Good to hear that, jg2977... he was really a good, solid ballplayer and did not deserve the criticism and the blame for losing the World Series... the error happened in game 6... the Red Sox still had another chance to win in game 7... but the Mets beat them 8-5 to win the 1985 World Series..
