Game #7 in Detroit
Game 7 saw a rematch of Game #3 as Philadelphia's Preacher Roe faced Detroits Virgil Trucks.

In the bottom of the 1st inning Detroit's George Kell and Roy Campenlla got singles to put men on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. It was all Preacher Roe would allow the Bombers as he shut them down and dominated them for a complete game giving up just 4 hits. Trucks was not far behind Roe though as the score remained 0-0 until the top of the 5th.

Leading off the top of the 5th Roe reached on an error by 3B George Kell and Duke Snider would drive him in with an RBI single. That 1 run would hold until the top of the 9th when Roe would hit a sacrifice fly to score Luke Easter and give Philadelphia the 2-0 lead. Roe would send the Bombers down in order in the bottom of the 9th.
