YANKS AND JACKS WIN AGAIN, TOP TWO TEAMS IN SUPREME LEAGUE AT MIDSEASON MARK
Midway throught the season the New Yerby Yankees are sitting pretty atop the South Island Supreme League standings, one game up on the runner-up Jackson Jackalopes... New Yerby chalked up its second win in a row, fending off the tough Meraux Tigers 6-4 yesterday afternoon, while Jackson ran off their fourth straight victory by besting the winless St. Dominic Saints 5-3... in the other two games Delta zonked the Zebulon Zips 8-4 and Bar Harbor nipped the Mystic Mariners in 11 innings 5-4.
