My idea is that WWII was much worse and lasted much longer for the US. This caused the collapse of the American and National Leagues.

Finally in 1951 a new league starts.

I want the league to be completely fictional, though it will be based on RL, so I want to hold an inaugural draft with the real 1951 players.

So do I start a fictional league and import real players...if so how do I import real players.

or

Do I start a historical league and change team names.
