CHERRYWOOD POUNDS PELHAM IN 1ST PLACE SHOWDOWN... STOUTS TAKE OVER TOP SPOT IN SECONDARY LEAGUE
It was an eventful weekend in the South Island Secondary League... two of the three co-leaders met their demise, leaving
the Cherrywood Stouts on top of the standings... the Stouts steamrolled the Pelham Oaks 13-3 and the Parkland Perfectos
were drummed by the Grin Hill Smileys 8-2... Cherrywood is 4-1 and all alone in first place... Pelham and Parkland dipped to
second place with 3-2 records.
In other games Sunday Braxton walloped Joliet 14-8 and Billings trimmed the Littleville Supermen 6-4.
