Walkers news: April 19 -- St. Louis 2, Madison 1

Record: 7-10, 4th/(Tied/w. Louisville), 6 GB Des Moines
Down 1-0, Savion McMullan connected on a two-run single in the top of the ninth inning to help lift St. Louis to a 2-1 win over Madison at Comiskey Park (1969).
Nick Shaw led off the inning with a single off Muskies relief pitcher Mauricio Moreno.
Joe Bien pinch-ran for Shaw.
Jordan Grullon followed with a single.
A walk to Mike Casebolt then loaded the bases.
Savion McMullan connected for a single, scoring both Bein and Grullon.
Madison's lone run came in similar fashion in the bottom of the first, as it put its first four batters on base against River Walkers starting pitcher Kevin Hrdlicka.
However, it resulted in just one run as Kevin Couture Jr. drove in Andy Granado with a bases-loaded single.
Hrdlicka settled down after that going six innings, allowing the one run on three hits. He struck out four and walked one.
Kyle Smarr, Curt Donaldson and Tom Floria all pitched scoreless innings of relief for the Walkers.
Floria posted his second save.
