I am now at Day 12 and counting as I try to get Tech Support to respond to my concern. The problem confronting me concerns this message that appeared on my screen and prevented me from continuing my game:
“Error – OOTPB cannot load the database because it has been created with an earlier version of OOTPB.”
I have read two documents that provide steps to correct it but each one tails off at the end and fail to explain what the one or two last steps that need to be taken. Similarly, I watched a video and the presenter just casually says you copy this to that but the visual is unclear as were his actions.
In short, i need help and I have submitted multiple tickets to Tech Support and they have in turn responded by giving me multiple tickets but no help so far (day 12).. Therefore, my problem persists. I am beginning to wonder if I should call 911 and request that a wellness check be done for the Tech Support unit. Are they ok over there? Meanwhile, if anyone out there thinks they can provide me with clear step-by-step directions for solving my problem, please write to me at
