Changing historical draft pool
In our historical online league, we use historical players, but an issue we are having with our draft is that quite a few players come out eligible for the draft as 70/80 or some crazy level of development - often at age 17 or 18.
To increase the variability and make it more realistic, we're trying to figure out how to allow for a similar number of top-projected talent, but with the current ability down at 20-30, meaning a lot of development has to take place for them to reach their full potential.
We have not found an easy way to do that that doesn't involve the commissioner spending hours modifying each individual player's current ratings/attributes.
Is there a simple way to do this - perhaps a setting that can be modified that will cause the newly-generated draft pools have decent potentials but a lot of development needed? Because in real life, very few players come out of HS or college as superstars - they get there, but it takes a few years to reach their full potential.
Thanks in advance!
