1948 - End of year review
Among the boxers debuting this year, there are 3 names who analysts feel have the skills to eventually be world champion, or at the very least be mainstays in Division I. In no particular order they are Bruno Girard (FRA), Tanny Campo (PHL), and Alberto Sandoval (USA).
After another year of fights have gone by, The streaking Polish Albert Sosnowski has now taken the top spot after going undefeated again for the the 2nd year in a row, with 4-0 record and 15-2 overall. American Alfred Battling Butler falls to 2nd place after falling to his 2nd career defeat this year. Australian Taffy Hancock managed to surge to 3rd place going 4-1 for the year and 14-4 overall. Highly touted newcomer American Alberto Sandoval takes 4th place going undefeated with 5-0 record. American Kid Carter falls to 5th place with a record of 4-2 for the year and 12-3 overall.
