I personally don’t play hoping to mimic actual results, in part because I am usually trying to improve a bad team; but also because I like to try out “what if” changes like giving the poor teams more money (or the rich teams a hard cap), just to see what happens. But I gotta have sympathy for anybody counting on a stud reliever who just loses it.

It's not a TCR thing, the underlying talent of Diaz hasn't fundamentally changed, it is just the inherent volatility of relief pitching, especially relievers with dominant stuff and less than elite command. Essentially this exact thing has already happened in real life with Diaz a couple years ago and it has happened with Craig Kimbrel, Greg Holland, Blake Treinen, Adam Ottavino, Dellin Betances, and dozens more. Sometimes they bounce back, sometimes they don't.
