Hey guys,
The 2004 trading deadline came and passed with a couple of trades. Felons now have Agent1 and dbakcs, while as Neal starts a new career with the Storm. And appearently the Felons gt one good deal which improved their team drmatically. In this crazy sim, the Felons pulled away from the rest of the pack beating the Storm 5 out of 6 times during the 2 weeks, and now have themselves a huge 8 games gap on the Storm. On the other end, the Jailblazers have shorten the gap and is only now 10 games away from the strggling storm for the final playoff spot.
Agent1 proves to be a great trade for tyhe Felons. The 3 games that he pitched for his new team, he won all of them while only giving away 7 runs in total. Even though he is playing great on the field, he is struggling off the field. Gabe and his agent, Neal have shown disgreement with Felons' GM, Shub. And it seems as of today that Gabe will be sitting out the playoffs for a trade away from the Felons. And with Shub's personality, it is very possible that if Gabe chooses to sit out, he will not see another day in the GFBL again. The situation is getting out of hands and Gabe's agent, Neal will have to fix this quick or his client's pro career may come to an end this season, his first season in the GFBL. Gabe is among one of the best starting pitchers this season with a 3.42 ERA and a 9-3 record in 15 games pitcherd.
In other news, Sportkrazy has taken over the lead on all 3 of the triple crown categories, .365 with 42 HR and 115 RBI's. With only 115 games played I will not be surprised if sporkrazy finishes up with over 150 rbi's and 60 HR. He has taken over matt as the best and the most powerful hitter in the GFBL.

Friday 8/1/2004: Pitcher of the Month honors go to Felons' kllutz
Felons' pitcher k kllutz is the GFBL winner of the Pitcher of the Month award in July. He had an ERA of just 1.06 in 42.1 innings of work in which he struck out 42 hitters. His record in July is 4-1. k pitched a shutout as well. His ERA of 2.68 helped him to a 8-4 record this year. He struck out 78 and walked 29 in 80.2 innings. He has one complete game and one shutout.
Friday 8/1/2004: sportkrazy (FEL) wins Batter of the month award
Felons' shortstop s sportkrazy had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the GFBL Batter of the Month. s was on fire, hitting .333 with 15 homeruns and 43 RBI. His season numbers are: .370 AVG, 166 hits, 20 doubles, 8 triples and 42 bombs, along with 117 RBI and 97 runs scored. He's 1st in the GFBL in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI!

The juveniles keep their losing ways this past sim and it looks like they will be entering their rebuilding phase to finish off the year. The defending champs are now only 46-69 after a dominent season last year with 102 wins. GM, matt is definitely disappointed but he has done a good job lowering the payroll this season and they now have a second lowest payroll in the league. Hopefully this team will be able ot rebound next season with the team start to build around 2B SirOrion.
That's all for this sim. With just over a month left in the 2004 regular season, the standing is pretty much set however watch for the Jailblazers to make one final charge near the end.
