In real life I like the bunt.

In OOTP I hate the bunt, because they don’t program it correctly into the code. Which is understandable since bunts are widely unpredictable.

To your question- I have Freddy Galvis playing 2B on my current save with the Giants. Between him and Crawford I have a couple of high quality middle infielders.

Galvis unfortunately can’t hit well. Most of the year so far he’s been hitting under .200. His ops+ is dreadful. But I keep him because his glove is outstanding. And right now in recent games his average is peaking at .220.

Ultimately, just put your low hitting gold glovers at the bottom of the lineup. Eventually they will start hitting and contributing. Just takes time. And during that time they are saving many balls from becoming hits. My mediocre starting pitchers are greatly appreciating my focus on defense so far.
