I'm now in the 1881-82 offseason in my fictional universe and since in the real-life 1882 the American Association was formed, we have new leagues. These leagues will be based in the Midwestern United states, and there are three of them: one "major" league, and two semi-pro independent leagues.

[NOTE: for clubs in all three leagues, I fudged founding dates using years that real-life teams were first founded in their cities using the same source that I did for the previous leagues: the Spread of Baseball link at the Major League Baseball website.]

First up, the "major" league: the Midwestern Baseball Association, which consists of ten teams from the eight largest cities in the Midwestern United States - all having 75,000+ residents - as of the start of the 1880s.
