The St. Louis River Walkers have placed catcher Mike Vaughan on the injured list after he 14-day injured list after he suffered a back injury in a 7-4 win over Los Angeles on May 24.
Vaughan is expected to miss a week.
In 35 games/27 starts this season, Vaughn has hit .224 with no homers and two RBIs.
Getting called up from AAA Memphis, is 24-year-old Travis Benson.
In 23 games with the Redbirds, Benson has hit .192 with one homer and 12 RBIs.
