Walkers news: April 15 -- Cincinnati 8, St. Louis 3

Record: 4-9, 6th, 5 GB Cedar Rapids
Down 3-1, Cincinnati racked St. Louis starting pitcher Juan Farias for six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and rode it to an 8-3 win at Riverfront Stadium (1984).
The win completed a four-game series sweep for the River Sharks. It also completed a 13-game road trip for the River Walkers, where they went 4-9.
St. Louis took the lead with a pair of runs in the top of the third inning off Cincy starter Dakota Franc.
But Walkers starter Juan Farias could do little right when it came to the bottom of the fourth.
Farias issued two walks and allowed a single in the span of the inning's first four batters to load the bases.
Joe Neyer than started the scoring parade with a double.
Troy Heller followed with a fly ball to center deep enough to score Cory Vallie to tie it 3-3.
Pedro Egoavil singled to put the Sharks in front 4-3.
Dakota Franc then reached on an error by shortstop R.J. Gomez.
A Drew Bowster single made it 5-3.
Tom Aloisio completed the outburst with a two-run single, as the Cincinnati lead reached 7-3.
Joe Neyer would cap the scoring with a solo homer off Evan Palmer in the fifth.
Sharks starter Dakota Franc (1-0) went five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He struck out seven and walked one.
Three relievers, Nate Finck (1.1 IP), Brendan Pearson (1.2) and David Hinojosa (1.0), combined to finish the game.
For the second straight contest, the Cincinnati pitchers combined to strike out 12 batters.
