I did a real MLB sim starting in 1915 with real lineups and transactions. A couple of players, one of them was Jackie Robinson, didn't retire when they were suppose to and stayed on as a bench player until the age of 52 when I noticed it and unretired him, then retired him again and he was done. I had another guy that had played 60 seasons before I noticed it and did the same with him.

These players were listed as retired but still were playing in a bench role.

I am guessing a few others snuck through still playing. I noticed Jackie Robinson because he is Jackie Robinson and the other guy after playing 60 seasons started creeping up on the hits leaderboard before I noticed that one.
