A good start to the season for the Rays of course, on pace to win approximately 100 games. The moves to remodel the team with more of a defense emphasis (Seise & Gutierrez) seem to be working, as reflected in our ERA if not the zone rating/DE without too much sacrifice of offense:
Not bad at all here with 8 of our 9 starters on pace for roughly at least 3 WAR over a full season and
JT Realmuto has been a big difference this year with his outstanding defense, good hitting and great work with the pitching staff. His contract is up at the end of the year and despite his being 38 I'd like to bring him back.
Good work all around from the staff with the exception of the unfortunate
Jose Crespo.
