OLYMPICS FINISH AS LEAGUE FIRST VICTORS

In a four game sweep of the New York Mutuals, the Washington Olympics make history as the first champions of professional sport. Washington did in the dominant way everyone expected them to, defeated their opponents in four straight games.

Most valuable player of the series was Clipper Flynn who hit .562 and the highlight of the series came in game two when the club scored 8 runs in the ninth inning alone to walk off a win.
