I've been around this game for 20 years. Probably 18 of those we've had posts that talk about how "it's all coming to an end" because of x,y, or z. More of the same this year with v23.

I think this is true, however I think a lot of the concern is that OOTP isn’t progressing as fast or as well as it could/should due to a lot of resources either being outright diverted to PT, or that the type of improvements will have to benefit both, as to maximize productivity. In the surface, it probably sounds like there isn’t anything wrong with that, but I think the fear is that the core game will only get small improvements benefitting both, and therefore “vision” may not be as bold as it could be.
