Walkers news: Sept. 6 -- Elbow injury ends Perdomo's season; Cisneros recalled from AAA Memphis
The St. Louis River Walkers have placed starting pitcher Agustin Perdomo on the 60-day injured list after he left their 5-4 win over Green Bay in the fourth inning with an injury.
After the game, Perdomo was diagnosed to have bone chips in his throwing arm and was placed on the 60-day injured list.
Perdomo is not expected to be able to throw for six months.
Signed in the offseason as a free agent, Perdomo had gone 8-9 with a 3.51 ERA in 28 games/27 starts in his first season in St. Louis.
The 31-year-old right-hander pitched a total 166.0 innings, during which he struck out 93 and had a 1.35 WHIP.
He will be replaced in the rotation by right-hander Miguel Cisneros who is coming off a back injury which has had him out since late June.
In 15 starts this season, Cisneros has gone 5-6 with a 3.51 ERA. He pitched a total of 89.1 innings, during which he struck out 58 and had a 1.19 WHIP.
