Walkers news: Sept. 1 -- St. Louis 3, Grand Rapids 2, 11 innings
Record: 72-60, 2nd, 3 GB Cedar Rapids
Mark Herman connected on a two-out single off Grand Rapids reliever Gabe Hayes in the bottom of the 11th inning to score Tony Urbalejo with the game-winning run as St. Louis defeated the Traders 3-2 at Busch Stadium (2006).
The River Walkers' Nick Shaw had led off the inning with a single.

With two outs, Herman then lined a shot into left field to bring him home with the winning run.
The game had been tied since the top of the seventh when Grand Rapids tied it.

A single by pinch-hitter John Del Gaudio off reliever Chris Willett moved him to third.
A wild pitch scored Simon to even it at 2-2.
Hrdlicka worked 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits. He struck out seven and walked one.
A parade of five relievers combined to finish the game for St. Louis.
Willett got just one out in the seventh and McVey came on to finish the seventh and record the first out of the eighth.
Leo Hermosillo got the Walkers out of the eighth without allowing a run.
Closer Craig Fritzler pitched two scoreless innings.
