June 23-25, 2023: vs LA Angels (3)

Game 1: 6-0 W. WP-Rasmussen (6-1, 7.1 3 0 0 1 10). S-Springs (2). Final score a bit misleading as it was a 1-0 game before the Rays scored 5 in the bottom of the 8th. Rasmussen pitched his best game of the season and Christian Vazquez had the big hit, an RBI double in the 7th before adding an RBI single in the 8th.

Game 2: 8-10 L
. LP-Feyereisen (6-1). Starter-McClanahan (6 2 2 2 2 11). HR-J.Lowe (9). A bullpen meltdown of epic proportions cost the Rays as they took a 6-2 lead into the 7th. Chris Gau started it with a 3-run homer allowed in the 7th and in the 8th Feyereisen and Brooks Raley combined to allow 3 more, costing McClanahan a deserved win. The Lowes and Alex Bregman drove in 2 runs apiece.

Game 3: 4-2 W. WP-Baz (7-2, 5.2 4 2 2 3 9). S-Fairbanks (15). The bullpen was solid today with 3 1/3 scoreless and the Rays got their runs without the benefit of an extra-base hit.

Team record: 48-25. The Yankees swept Seattle so they've pulled to within 3 games. Next up: 3 at home vs Texas.

MLB News: Arizona had a memorable game over the weekend, crushing Atlanta 21-2. Rookie Corbin Carroll had a 5-hit game and Nolan Gorman, acquired from St. Louis in the offseason, was 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 homers and 9 RBI, tying a team record.
