Game 1: 3-2 W. WP-Feyereisen (3-0). S-Springs (1). Starter-Patino (5.1 4 2 1 1 6). HR-Vazquez (3). Christian Vazquez tormented his former team with a homer and an RBI single, and Heliot Ramos and Brandon Lowe hit back-to-back doubles in the 8th to break a 2-2 tie and put the Rays up 1 1/2 in the East.
Game 2: 0-2 L. LP-Glasnow (0-3, 6 3 2 2 1 8, 2 HR). Bryan Mata no-hit the Rays for 7 1/3 before Taylor Walls broke it up with a single, their only hit on the night. Glasnow can't stop giving up homers (10 in 32 IP now) but pitched his best game of the year.
Game 3: 4-3 W. WP-Rasmussen (3-0, 6 5 3 3 3 3). S-Fairbanks (1). The Rays built a 4-1 lead and hung on for the final 3 innings to go back up 1 1/2 on Boston. Curtis Mead was 3-5 with an RBI and Taylor Walls continued to impress filling in for Wander with an RBI double.
Team record: 17-10. Next up: We head back to the Trop for 4 games against Baltimore.
MLB News: The bad season for the Blue Jays got worse when they lost Vlad Jr. for 3 weeks with a hip strain. Although they swept Baltimore they still sit in last in the AL East at 10-17.
