Do you think they could have been kept in New York State somehow, in any case, at least, jg2977, if not in New York City and its boroughs or nearby areas? Just wondering, that's all. How do you think baseball history might have developed had Brooklyn been able to keep its Dodgers and New York its Giants? It would have been interesting to see the Bronx have the Yankees, Manhattan the Giants, Queens the Mets, and Brooklyn the Dodgers, at least, I think. Don't you think so?
As a further elaboration on my earlier thoughts about the four major leagues, I'd have a brief mid-season All-Star tournament between the four leagues, similar to the WBC, perhaps, and then seed the post-season tournament based on the regular-season records of each league's champions, to mix things up a bit more, and perhaps make them more interesting to follow, as well. Then the World Series matchups could be quite different every year, too, I think.
Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm sure. Lord willing and all, of course, that is, you know, jg2977. Thank you for the information here related to the Dodgers and Giants, too. CD out.
