Walkers news: June 8 -- St. Louis 7, Milwaukee 4

Records: 27-32, 7th, 6.5 GB Quad City
Trailing 3-2, St. Louis scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and went on to defeat Milwaukee 7-4 at Busch Stadium (2006).
The victory allowed the River Walkers from being swept in the three-game series.
Both teams did a lot of damage in the first inning.
The Crushers scored three times against St. Louis starting pitcher Kevin Hrdlicka.
Hrdlicka walked three batters in the inning. Corey Flowe drove in a pair of runs with a single.
Jose Flores made it 3-0 with another single, although was thrown out at the plate on a throw by center fielder Joe Allen.
St. Louis answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Mark Herman singled off Milwaukee starting pitcher Josh Galarza with one out and moved to third on a Manuel Coke double.
Allen scored Herman with a fly ball to left.
Nick Shaw then connected on a double to make it 3-2.
Mark Waterson started St. Louis' four-run bottom of the fourth by drawing a lead-off walk from Galarza.
After a strike out of Zach Wenman, Rich Dodson doubled to move Waterson to third.
Hrdlicka tried to get a bunt down but Waterson was thrown out at home.
But Kerry Fackelam doubled down the third-base line to score two and put the Walkers up 4-3.
Herman followed with a two-run homer and it was 6-3
Steve Ricca homered off Hrdlicka in the fifth, pulling the Crushers within 6-4.
But that would be the end of the scoring for Milwaukee.
Waterson capped the scoring for St. Louis in the bottom of the fifth with a homer off Elliott Harper.
Hrdlicka didn't pitch long enough to earn the win, going 4.1 innings during which he allowed four runs on six hits. He struck out six and walked five.
The win went to Kyle Smarr (2-0), who finished the fifth and worked a scoreless sixth.
Brett McVey handed two innings of relief without allowing a run.
Craig Fritzler again was not good, he walked the first two batters he faced, but came out of it with his ninth save.
