I would love to see more emphasis on career building and team development.

1. Would love the opportunity to start with a team in the bottom of a relegation system like Sweden or Germany and have to grow the program (on and off the ice) from scratch to the SHL or DEL.

2. National Team & Domestic League Development. The ability to take a job with Hockey Canada, USA Hockey, Hockey Sweden, or even the Australian governing body to develop players and domestic leagues in order to produce better national teams, leagues, and the like. I'd love to see nations have more ability to grow and recede as hockey powers.

3. More coaching options. Coaching feels pretty hollow right now. It'd be great to expand coaching.

4. More career development. Starting with job offers to be an assistant coach focusing on the PP and offensive skills (with goals, tasks, and limited ability to make changes solely related to those assignments), assistant GM developing the AHL team and advising the GM, or a GM intern whose job is to send signing/drafting recommendations to the GM etc etc. Would be cool to see roles and player ratings transferring to staff so that we're similarly judged and able to grow through the ranks as managers and coaches.
