You would really rather not play the game for the lack of the bonus points? I do understand how disappointing that would be, but I wouldn't walk away from the game because I didn't get them. It's simply too much fun to give up.
As far as not getting an answer, I would suggest filling out another support ticket. I know the team is crazy busy with all the issues, but you have to push your issue to at least get an answer. Good luck.
