AND THEN THERE WERE 2... ANDERSON AND MERAUX ALL ALONE IN 1ST PLACE IN SUPREME LEAGUE... BAR HARBOR FALLS FROM UNBEATEN RANKS
In an epic duel, two of the best ballclubs in South Island circles, met on the diamond and went toe-to-toe for 10 innings... finally newcomer to the Supreme League, unbeaten Anderson (4-0), prevailed 3-2 over the previously unbeaten Bar Harbor Acadians (3-1)... now the Ravens are deadlocked for the number one spot in the standings with unbeaten Meraux (4-0)... the Tigers trimmed the Moon Valley Dreamers 5-2 for their 4th consecutive victory... Meraux and Anderson were the top 2 teams in the South Island Secondary League last season... they won promotion to the Supreme League this year.
The Delta Stars (3-1) are clinging close to the leaders after topping the St. Pete Pelicans (2-2) by the tight score of 4-3... in the other three games Kofa slowed down the Zebulon Zips 5-2... Jackson bumped off the Mystic Mariners 6-3... and St. Dominic won a close one with the St. Luke's Place Orioles 4-2.
