Walkers news: Dec. 31 -- Catcher Boychuk agrees to one-year deal
The St. Louis River Walkers have announced the signing of catcher Alex Boychuk to a one-year contract worth $6.5 million.
A four-time Gold Glove winner, the last coming in 2034 when he was in Green Bay, spent the 2038 season with Evansville.
In 136 games (121 starts) with the Bosses, he hits .233 with 13 homers and 46 RBIs.
Boychuk broke into the majors in 2026 with Chicago and played with the G-Men until 2029 when he was traded to Green Bay.
After that, he played with the Mallards until 2035.
The last three years it has been one season each at Columbus, Quad City and Evansville.
For his career, in 1,388 games (1,261 starts), Boychuk has hit .241 with 146 home runs and 543 RBIs.
