Edit: I just checked my transactions and the deduction for the card is still there, but there is no corresponding return of my PP. Please give me my Doug Bochtler. I realize that in the brief time between my seeing the card and clicking the buy now (less than a second) it's possible (though not likely) someone beat me there, but that seems not to be the case here. I don't want my PP back, since I grabbed him at a bargain price, which is probably not available most of the time.
