Walkers news: Jan. 6 -- Right-handed reliever Willett agrees to contract
The St. Louis River Walkers have announced the signing of right-handed relief pitcher Chris Willett to a two-year contract worth $8.5 million.
The first year is worth $3.5 million, the second, which features a team buyout, would pay Willett $5 million.

He split the 2038 season between Class A and AAA for the River Sharks.
In those games, Willett went 1-5 with 40 saves and a 2.44 ERA at Class A.
At AAA Pawtucket, he got into four games posting three saves and a 4.50 ERA.
