Might not be any of their faults and if it was, I still wouldn't want to be mean to them or anything.
I'm trying to think if I'd have been more upset if they'd just announced at the beginning of April that the game wouldn't launch until mid-May - I might have been similarly bummed out? I don't know. I was really excited to throw myself into the game and I've tried to... I still might but I'm losing steam pretty quick.

I was bummed at the original delay but it actually worked out just fine for me because I got into MLB The Show 22. I hardly played last year's version much at all on my XB1. The delay caused me to go elsewhere for my baseball video game fix. Now I have two games I like. Unsurprisingly, 99% of my time in MLB The Show has been in the Diamond Dynasty mode that's similar to PT.
The reason I wish the development team could talk more about these issues is that, based on the timeline, I firmly believe this
isn't their fault. If the backend provider change happened late in development as I highly suspect, it's not surprising there are problems. They've done a great job with this game for so many years. I hope the franchise isn't irreparably harmed because of things out of the development team's control.
