FHM8 Hotfix 8.7.109 Now Available

A new hotfix update for Franchise Hockey Manager 8, version 8.7.109, has just been released to fix some lingering issues with the game.

To apply the update:

-If you are playing the FastSpring version, just download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course.
-If you are playing the Steam version, the game will auto-update if you have that option active. If you don't see the update in your Steam update queue, you may need to exit and restart your Steam client.
-If you bought FHM from the Epic Games Store or the Mac App Store, the game will auto-update as soon as the update is approved by those sites.

Your existing savegames will be compatible with the updated game, although some of the fixes may not fix problems that have already occurred in a save.

This hotfix addresses a few issues remaining after the 8.7.104 hotfix, most of which had the potential to seriously disrupt the game (as well as a couple of things that involved safe, easy fixes.) The changes are as follows:

-when Arena Construction is chosen, the finances screen will no longer change on the following day to display no construction or the wrong size
-choosing Arena Construction will no longer occasionally result in being told that the team doesn't have the necessary resources, when in fact it does
-the Champions League schedule will no longer fail to generate if the user exclusively clicks "Show Next" to move through the group draw procedure
-the Iron Curtain rule option is now properly activated at the start of a historical game with the draft/generate at 17 option turned off (it can still be deactivated manually, though)
-the option to re-draft Seattle at the start of a standard game is now only available when using the Opening Night database (using the current database leads to too many conflicts with what the re-draft mechanics, particularly with contract renewals that occurred during the season)
-fixed a problem with custom league creation that could break the ability of the AI to dress goalies for the new teams
-the user's team will no longer lose its ability to get waiver claims accepted in some circumstances
